At Jehiah Bible Church, our faith is built on the unchanging truth of God’s Word and the transformative power of His Spirit. Below is an outline of our core beliefs, supported by scripture:

  1. Brotherly Love:

We believe in expressing brotherly love genuinely, without hypocrisy.
“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.”(Romans 12:9, NKJV)

  2. The Power of the Holy Spirit:

We believe in demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit through the operation of spiritual gifts given to every believer by God.
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”(1 Corinthians 12:7, NKJV)

  3. Deliverance Ministry:

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring deliverance to those under satanic oppression.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”(Luke 4:18, NKJV)

  4. Healing Through Faith:

We believe in the prayer of faith to heal the sick.
“And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”(James 5:15, NKJV)

  5. The Holy Trinity:

We believe in God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit—the triune nature of the Holy Trinity.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”(Matthew 28:19, NKJV)

  6. The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

We believe that Jesus Christ, sent by God, is the cornerstone of our faith. His death at Calvary paid the price for our sins, and His resurrection signifies victory over sin and death.
“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”(1 Corinthians 15:3–4, NKJV)

  7. The Holy Spirit’s Role:

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter and Spirit of Truth, sent by the Father to dwell within us, teach us all things, and intercede on our behalf in alignment with God’s will.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”(John 14:26, NKJV)
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” (Romans 8:26, NKJV)

  8. The Power of the Blood of Jesus:

We believe in the redeeming power of the blood of Jesus Christ, shed at Calvary, which grants us ongoing victory over Satan and his forces.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”(Revelation 12:11, NKJV)

  9. Salvation Through Jesus Christ:

We believe that Jesus is the only way to God the Father and that faith in Him is the primary requirement for eternal life in Heaven. This faith, however, is demonstrated through repentance, obedience to God’s Word, and a transformed life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”(John 14:6, NKJV)
“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.” (Matthew 3:8, NKJV)
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22, NKJV)

  10. The Reality of Hell:

We believe in the existence of hell (the eternal lake of fire) as a place for those who reject salvation through Jesus Christ.
“And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”(Revelation 20:15, NKJV)

  11. God’s Omnipotence:

We believe that with God, nothing is impossible.
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”(Luke 1:37, NKJV)

These principles reflect the foundation of our faith and guide how we live, worship, and serve.
